For anyone who doesn’t know, at the end of each month I publish my Outside Reading column for my paid subscribers.

Outside Reading is a curated collection of everything on the internet that I found thought-provoking over the past month. Sometimes I share the books I’m reading, too!

The point of this is to share my appreciation for long-form writing that doesn’t often see the light of day on our social media feeds. Instead of scrolling, we get to collectively dive into some deeper (and sometimes even controversial) ideas.

I want to hear what you think in the comments, or offline if I run into you at a party. Think of these articles as real-life conversation starters! If, like me, the past couple of years have left you sort of forgetting how to talk to strangers about real things, be bold and bring up one of these topics at your next social gathering. I have a hunch that most of us are craving conversations about real things these days.

If you’re not a paid subscriber yet and want to join in on the conversation, I encourage you to join at the paid level today!

That said, I am so grateful for each and every one of you who have chosen to subscribe to Comfort Watch at any level. Sending you magic for a gorgeous week.

Comfort Watch is a reader-supported publication. If you have the financial resources to do so (you’ll receive exclusive additional posts for just $5 a month!), please consider joining at the paid subscription level. Thank you for making independent, algorithm-free media possible!
